Agree the product
The first task is to make the requirement measurable. Grade, composition, quality tolerances, quantity and inspection arrangements determine whether a supply source is suitable. A mismatch in specification can matter more than a small price difference.
Build the delivery plan
Identify loading and delivery locations, transport options, storage needs and the delivery window. Responsibilities for arranging freight, insurance and documentation belong in the commercial discussion, not as afterthoughts.
Connect price with performance
The contract should explain how price is set and how delivery is evidenced. Payment timing, inspection results and documentary requirements all affect the practical execution of the transaction.
